Miette Pass Backcountry Skiing

February 27-29th Miette Pass Backcountry Skiing
Difficulty: Strenuous touring with some sections of bushwhacking.
Prerequisites: Members should have at least an AST 1 course and previous winter camping
experience.
Description: Nestled on the Continental Divide, the area around Miette Pass offers excellent
scenery and great skiing potential. This three day trip would plan to camp on the BC side of
Miette Pass leading to a somewhat lengthy (~19 km distance and 1600 m elevation gain)
approach, a full day based skiing around Miette Pass, and then a day returning to the road.
